Traditionally Vedanta is the path of monastic scholarship or Jnana Yoga. It involves profound study of the ancient Vedic texts under the guidance of a guru. It is said however, that the best of students can absorb the teachings easily, in just one hearing! Regardless, for students with keen discrimination and pure desire, Vedanta serves a fundamental human need – unconditional well-being. These teaching are at the heart of all spiritual seeking with the ability to challenge our most deeply rooted misconceptions of self, the world and God.
The seminar will follow traditional precedent and reveal the siddhanta or the ‘conclusion of the teachings’ at the very beginning of the teaching. The siddhanta of Vedanta is the recognition of the nonduality of all experience.
The object of the seminar will be to point the motivated student in the right direction. Our vehicle will be the most extraordinary, Mandukya Upanishad, said to be the one and only text needed to be studied; such is the power and clarity of its teaching. The text describes the method reflecting upon waking, dream, sleep and Turiya, the Ultimate. We will follow the traditional commentary of Sankaracharya, Nondual Advaita Vedanta`s most important Acharya/guru.
At the beginning of your course series you will receive a separate link for downloads which remains valid for up to 4 weeks after the last course unit.
