The House Yoga Vidya offers you the ideal environment to
truly relax and get new energy. You can gain new insight and access to
your own intuition and creativity and rediscover your inner source of
inspiration and happiness.
The daily program of yoga postures, breathing exercises, deep
relaxation, chanting
and meditation has an optimal effect on the body, mind and soul. There
are also two meditations with mantra singing and one yoga class daily
outside the seminars.
Accomodation
For our guests we have 240 single and double rooms and rooms with several beds. All rooms are well-lit and comfortable with shower, toilet and balcony.
Meals
Every day we serve two lacto-vegetarian meals prepared with love and solely organic foods (brunch at 11 am, dinner at 18 pm). We can meet special requests if they are made at least one week in advance.
Weekend Courses
During a weekend course you can truly relax and gain new strength and energy in the beautiful nature.
Short Seminars
are especially inexpensive seminars outside the weekends. In small groups you can make wonderful experiences.
One Week Intensives
To experience the effects of Yoga in an optimal way and to
really regenerate, a minimum stay of one week is ideal.
Daily asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), deep
relaxation,
meditations, mantra singing and lacto-vegetarian organic food. If
nothing
else is mentioned, the seminars are equally suitable for beginners and
advanced
yoga students. From the second week on we give 20% reduction. Yoga in
the
community is fun!

Please arrive between 1.00 pm and 7.00 pm.
4.30 pm: asanas (yoga exercises), pranayama (breathing exercises), deep
relaxation class
6.00 pm: Evening meal
8.00 pm: Seminar starts with meditation, chanting, and introductory
lecture
Daily schedule
from second day onwards (on weekends this is Saturday):
7.00 am - meditation, chanting, short reading and lecture
9.00 am - yoga class with asanas, pranayama and deep relaxation
11.00 am - brunch (breakfast/lunch)
2.30 pm - workshop/lecture
4.00 pm - yoga class with asanas, pranayama and deep relaxation
6.00 pm - dinner
8.00 pm - meditation, chanting, lecture
End of Seminar
Weekend seminars approx. 3.00 pm, other seminars at noon after the
brunch
Changes may result from the topic of the seminar. Varying starting times and end times are stated.
Individual guests
are welcome all year round. If you have participated in a
introductory seminar at Yoga Vidya, you are welcome to compile your
individual program.
Price for one weekend: MZ (room with several beds) 86,- €, DZ
(double room) 99,- €, EZ (single room) 148,- €
price per day during the week: MZ 38,- €, DZ 48,- €,
EZ 58,- €. 20 % reductiom from the 8th day on.
Ask for monthly rates. Prices include accomodation, meals, lectures,
and classes. Participation in morning meditation and yoga class is also
for dayguests obligatory.
Possibilities for other recreational activities
Walking and cycling tours (you can borrow bicycles for free),
hot mineral springs with sauna area in direct vicinity, wide stretching
spa grardens and forests, the historic town center of Horn, the health
establishments of Bad Meinberg, the Extern Stones and much more.
General terms and conditions
Requirements for seminar-, individual- and wellness guests
We are a vegetarian non-smoking house. For full benefit of the program we kindly recommend to refrain from consuming meat, fish, eggs, alcohol and tobacco and as well, to attend all classes of your seminar. Smoking is possible outside of the Yoga Vidya campus. We are not just any kind of hotel, but a yoga retreat center. For our guests who are not taking part in a seminar or who come for wellness only (stay without a specific seminar or for wellness), we offer the special possibility to participate in our open yoga lessons, meditation and mantra chanting to enrich their stay and to care for their own health and well being. To maintain the character of the house, it’s obligatory for individual- and wellness guests to attend at least one meditation and one yoga-class a day.
Requirements for participation at training courses
The consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drugs, meat and fish is under no circumstances allowed during courses. Participation in all programs according to agenda (see corresponding description of seminar) is obligatory and necessary to obtain a certificate, including morning and evening meditation, Mantra chanting, Yoga-lessons as well as 45 minutes of assistance with our daily work at the retreat center (Karma Yoga).

Refund
In case of cancellation up to 2 weeks before the beginning of a seminar, the seminar price minus (less) 25 € administration fee will be refunded. Change of reservation or receipt of a credit voucher (note) is possible without fee.
For cancellation within (in less then) 2 weeks prior to a seminar, 50% of the seminar price will be refunded. Change of reservation or the receipt of a credit voucher is possible for a fee of 15 €.
For some training courses special conditions of (for) participation and cancellation will apply. There are training courses of 2 or more modules, which can only be booked (signed up) together. To take only one module is not possible and no refund will be given after the beginning of the first module. This does not apply for training courses consisting of flexible composed modules, as each module is a complete training course in itself.
Special Prices
- Arrival one day before the beginning of a seminar: day price for individual guests will apply (advisable only for people who have already attended a seminar at Yoga Vidya).
- Departure 1 day after the seminar (dinner and overnight stay): 50% of day price will apply.
- Departure one day after the seminar (dinner, overnight stay, brunch and Yoga class): regular day price will apply.
- Later arrival at or earlier departure from a seminar (if mentioned with reservation): seminar price minus day price will apply.
- Later arrival at or earlier departure from a seminar (not mentioned with reservation): regular seminar price will apply.
(only possible for seminars. For training courses or further training courses, it is not possible to arrive late or depart early. A requirement for the certificate is complete attendance)
Please bring along
Bed linen, towel, slippers, alarm clock, biodegradable cosmetics as well as all personal belongigs. A solid little case for your eye glasses during yoga lessons (session). If you have: Yoga mat, cushion and blanket for meditation (can also be borrowed for free or bought in the local Yoga Vidya shop). Lending fee for bed linen 5 €.
Terms for travels

Cancellation up to 30 days before beginning of seminar, total seminar price less deposit of 250 € will be refunded. Cancellation between 29th and 20th day before departure 50 % will be refunded. In case of cancellation 20 days or less prior to departure no refund will be given. We recommend travel resignation insurance.

All goods are generally delivered by Deutsche Post. For Shipping and handling we charge 2.60 €.

You would like to surprise somebody? We are here to help you! Just note „gift“ and the address of delivery on your order form. We will send the goods to this address and the invoice to your address at home.
Prices and special conditions
Our prices are inclusive of current VAT, which is for books 7%, for all other articles 19%. Preceding price lists are invalid. Special conditions for BYV members please enquire at shop@yoga-vidya.de.
Payment
We accept payments made by direct debit or in cash only.
Unavailablility of goods
We reserve the right not to carry out your order in case of unexpected unavailability of goods or remaining stocks. In this case, we will inform you immediately.
Return / right of objection
Goods may be returned without further explanation within 14 days. The time limit is fixed to (with) the day you receive the goods and the day you send them back. The returned goods have to be without defect, you are liable for any loss of value. Cash payment will be refunded or credited to your balance. Orders may be cancelled until goods are dispatched or at least 14 days after order placement. Please pay return postage. Otherwise we will have to pay surcharge. Of course we will refund you this postage expenses (to you).
Retention of title
All goods stay our property until the payment has fully been settled.
